what can i say, i am devistated.

SO, I got the job I really wanted, or so I thought. I admit I did not realize quite how difficult it is to come into an established business and take over as manager. It is not the paperwork, or the actual business that are tough, the real challenge is employee relations. So far on several occasions I have been told "no" or "no, that is not my job" when I politely ask employees to perform a task. Wow did I not realize how hard it was going to be - being a manager - on my feet all day and commuting150 miles a day! But today I found a house which is much closer, now I have to go through the trouble of moving- I hope it was all worth it. .

I had my in person interview with a franchisee of a company I use to do franchise development for - I was so at ease because I knew more about the franchising process the he did and I really impressed him pretty soon he was talking about all the things I would be doing - as if I already had the job.
