As you may already know I have been suffering from yet another bout of tonsilitis, of course I blame my parents for not having my tonsils removed when I was a child. Now as an adult I suffer from this affliction atleast 2-3 times a year. I have tried everything - and it may be possible that antibiotics no longer work for me the way they use to.

In my last semester of college, due to years of procrastination, I finally took my math requirement, Mathematical Modeling with Dr. Blair Sterba-Boatwright (BSB for short), he wrote the book for the class and I learned about the S->I->R model. Something I never thought I would find handy in life. But I can see where it applies to my tonsilitis epidemic.

As you can see from the model above you can mathematically predict the length of some illnesses. In my case I have had tonsilitis so many times I already know how many days I was asymptomatic before I felt miserable & bed ridden, which will help show me how many & which days I am most contageious and eventually what day I will be over it. My hpothesis is that by Monday I will be back to 100%.
