My big plan was to go to law school, this is why I changed my major from Business Administration to Political Science my Junior year in college, it was the Pre-law track. I thought I was making the right choice. But after taking the LSAT twice and doing miserably on it I am forced to find work with this degree. I have been looking for 6 months and have gotten mostly ignored and/or rejected by employers. Any suggestions?

Law, huh? I'd get your head checked.

Have you tried clerking in a law office, or going to grad school and teaching PS; local government positions, internships (just to beef up resume)?

I graduated not too long ago and was forced to find a temp agency. They got me a job within four days. But it hurt my ego.

I am going through that right now, I actually had to take typing and MsOffice testing this week. And they were surprise that I ranked above the average applicant.

I have been there.

If you want to use your Poli Sci degree to work in politcs this is the absolute best time of year. Pick a political candidate who you halfway respect and has a decent chance to win. Volunteer on his/her political campaign and get know as many people as you possibly can. This usually requires working a second job to pay the rent and put food on the table (unless you have a trust fund or something). The downside is that it is a killer amount of work. The upside is that the election will be over in a few months and if your candidate wins you can turn it into paying job or the people you networked with can help you find one. Even if the candidate loses, the network of people you made friends with is really where the opportunities are. People use this method every two years to turn Poli Sci degrees into real cash. The other alternative is to go to grad school in Poli Sci or Public Administration or something and go into student loan debt while you wait for the economy to heat up.

Just a little free advice,

Go back to school, and get you masters in Anything. You can do a MBA but you don't have to.
